Thank You to Our Partners and Supporters

Without Your Contributions Long-Term Consumers Would Not Have Had These Efforts on Their Behalf

At this time of giving, Consumer Voice thanks all of our members and partners for all of your contributions.  Here is a partial list of what we have accomplished by working together throughout 2014.

  • Launch of the Consumer Voice Staffing Campaign, aiming to achieve 4.1 hours of direct nursing care daily for each resident;
  • Policy successes including the introduction of legislation requiring RN coverage in nursing homes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the House of Representatives; and funding in the IMPACT Act to develop a system for collection of nursing home staffing levels through payroll data;
  • Successful training programs including our highly rated Annual Conference, attended by hundreds of consumers and advocates from around the country and which included a White House Conference on Aging Listening Session;
  • Launch of a national program to provide advocacy training to consumers and advocates promoting quality long-term care policies – now being conducted in ten states;
  • Technical assistance and information provided to hundreds of long-term care ombudsmen, consumers, and others interested in long-term care issues.
