CMS Extends Comment Period for Federal Nursing Home Regulations

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced today that the agency will be extending the comment period 30 days for the proposed nursing home regulations. Individuals and organizations will now have until October 14th at 5 PM ET to submit their comments to CMS on the proposed rule.

As a reminder, Consumer Voice has prepared sample comments for individuals and organizations to use for commenting on the regulations, which you can feel free to use as is or modify. You can find these sample comments, along with instructions on how to submit your comments to CMS, on our website here.

With this additional time, we hope that many of you will be able to submit comments - we need as many of you as possible to weigh in!
