Webinar for NSLTCO – Equipping State Ombudsmen for Their Leadership Role: Self-Study Guides
Join us on April 15, 2026 from 2:00 – 3:00pm ET as we launch the revised New State Ombudsman Orientation Self-Study Guides. Whether you have previous Ombudsman experience or not, these self-study guides help you understand your role as the leader of your statewide program. The self-study guides ask you to review fundamental information and resources (e.g., Older Americans Act, Ombudsman Program Rule, initial training curriculum content) before responding to questions about your program management and leadership role. This webinar will introduce and briefly review the following three guides and discuss pre-work before the orientation session in Cleveland.
- The History and Role of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
- Residents’ Rights
- The Problem-Solving Process: Investigation
