Webinar – Volunteer Management

Join us on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 3:00pm – 4:00pm to learn about volunteer management.

This webinar will focus on the on-boarding experience of potential volunteers for the Long-Term Care Ombudsman program (LTCOP). There are several steps to take before a person even begins their training. With limited resources, how can you keep potential volunteers engaged and interested until you can provide training? Speakers will share tips and resources, such as the NORC Volunteer LTCOP Representative Intake Toolkit and dive into job descriptions, accessible applications, the interview process, performing background checks, and reference checks. Attendees will also learn about one state’s efforts to shorten the length of time between a volunteer’s first day of training and their certification as representatives.
