On February 28, 2022, the Biden Administration released a set of proposed reforms to improve safety and quality in nursing homes. One key component is the implementation of a federal minimum or baseline staffing standard. CMS has issued a Request for Information to obtain stakeholder input as it works on establishing staffing standards (see Sec. VIII. Request for Information: Revising the Requirements for LTC Facilities to Establish Mandatory Minimum Staffing Levels, pp.22789). Join us for a review of the issues where feedback is requested, and learn how to submit your own comments to CMS.

It is a time for celebration and recognition offering an opportunity for every facility to focus on and celebrate awareness of dignity, respect and the value of each individual resident. This year’s theme is Inspiring Unity within Our Community.
