Consumer Voice, along with other advocacy organizations, sent a letter to Congressional leaders to urge Congress to pass the Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act of 2024. This Senate bill was endorsed by many organizations that care about the health and wellness of older adults and their caregivers. In December, it continued to receive widespread support as updates were extensively negotiated between House and Senate committees of jurisdiction and readied for passage. Prioritizing reauthorization of the OAA would be a reassuring sign for the millions of older adults, in every state and Congressional district, who rely on its vital and often life-saving programs for their health, safety and independence, as well as offering support for their family caregivers.
