2026 State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Conference

NOTE: This conference is intended for State Long-Term Care Ombudsmen and State Staff. Unfortunately, we do not have programming or capacity to include your representatives (e.g., local ombudsmen, volunteer ombudsmen) at this conference, except in limited special circumstances previously arranged with the host state. Payment Policy

  • All attendees must register via the registration form on this page.
  • When paying by check, you still must complete the online registration form for all attendees. An option to pay by check is available by selecting the “(pay by check)” tickets on the registration form.
    • Those paying by check will receive an invoice via email. Promptly print, sign, and return the invoice with your check.
      • Checks should be made out to: Consumer Voice
      • Mail check payments to Consumer Voice, Attn: Ombudsman Conference, 1025 Connecticut Ave. NW, Ste. 1000, Washington, DC 20036.
      • Confirm your billing department has our correct address before submitting your registration for payment.
    • Payment is due immediately upon receiving the invoice. All payments must be received by the start of the conference.

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellation requests for registration must be made in writing to csteier@theconsumervoice.org. The cancellation policy applies to all cancellation requests, regardless of the reason for the request. A refund will be made for each request dated prior to April 20, 2026. No refunds will be issued after April 20th.
  • Refunds will not be given for no-shows.
  • The cancellation policy applies for registrants who cannot attend the conference due to a positive COVID-19 test or other illness.
  • The conference registration fee will be non-refundable in the event of cancellation of the meeting by NORC due to circumstances beyond the control of NORC.

NORC and its staff and sponsors accept no liability for the acts of any suppliers to this Conference. NORC reserves the right to cancel this function without liability. NORC reserves the right to admit and the right to exclude any person from the Conference, or refuse service to any attendee, at the sole discretion of NORC. Furthermore, NORC is under no obligation to provide an explanation for its actions but may do so at its own discretion.

Release for Use of Photographs and Recordings

By registering as an attendee of the 2026 State Ombudsman Conference, you hereby grant NORC the right and permission to use, publish and republish photographs, video or audio of you or images in which you may be included, in whole, part or composite, in any printed or electronic matter or media for any legal purpose; and to use your name in conjunction if NORC so chooses. By registering for the conference you discharge NORC from any and all claims and liabilities arising out of or in connection with the use of photographs, images, or information.

Join us at The Westin Cleveland Downtown, conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, local sports stadiums, concert venues, and entertainment offerings like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the House of Blues. Enjoy the hotel’s 24-hour fitness studio, valet parking, and on-site Mexico-City style cantina. This hotel does not provide a shuttle service, but Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is only 13 miles away.

A room block has been reserved at the hotel with a room rate of $159/night plus taxes and fees. Rooms are available in the block through April 3, 2026 or when the room block is full, whichever happens first.

The 2026 State Ombudsman Conference will be held in Cleveland, Ohio between Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 7. NASOP Meetings will be held Monday, May 4 and the NASOP Peer Collaboration Day (formerly NASOP Networking) events will be the afternoon of Thursday, May 7.
